I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
